You know, some people are real assholes...

There was the young newcomer, standing in the spotlight - victorious, dignified, and grateful - when the ignorant, loudmouthed douchebag stormed the stage, grabbed the microphone, and commenced to declare that his opinion - a totally subjective one, mind you - was more important than the decision of the voters. He didn't care that his antics were terribly disruptive, deeply embarrassing, harmful to the process, and that he was, ironically, self-defeatingly de-legitimizing the entire process. All he cared about was his own impulses at that moment.

If only Taylor Swift were black and Kanye West was white; If only Barack Obama was white and the teabaggers/tenthers/birthers were black. Perhaps then we'd be collectively outraged by the behavior of the real assholes and not give two shits about MTV.

If only the black million man march had any clout! If only President Obama had not voted a sounding YES! to all the laws that destroyed the housing market!
